1. Where is the conference?
The Bay-Delta Science Conference will be held at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento. Note that the Convention Center has multiple entrances and there is no specific street address for the conference entrance. Please use the East Lobby entrance at 15th and K Streets. 

 

2. How do I get there?
Downtown Sacramento is easily accessible via Sacramento International Airport or Amtrak, which is located near the J Street exit from I-5. Public transportation, carpooling, and ride share are highly encouraged.

3. What hotel is recommended for conference attendees?
Marriott's Residence Inn Sacramento Downtown at Capitol Park is conveniently located across the street from the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center. A newly renovated and tech-savvy extended stay property, the hotel is walking distance from many entertainment, dining and shopping options and just 11 miles from Sacramento International Airport.

4. What should I wear to the conference?
Attire for the conference is business casual. Comfort takes priority, and you'll see everything from jeans and polos to sweaters and light layers among attendees. Formal business attire is not required or expected. We recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater, as the meeting rooms may get chilly.

6. What does registration include?
Your registration includes access to plenary, oral, art, and poster sessions as well as the Monday evening reception, lunch and coffee/tea breaks each day. There will be no honorarium or reimbursement offered for session organizers, oral presenters, or poster presenters. Participants will be required to register at the applicable registration rate.

 

7. What is the payment and cancellation policy?
The Bay-Delta Science Conference will accept credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express) or purchase orders. If paying by purchase order, please inform your fiscal office that final payment is due no later than September 14, 2026. No refunds will be provided for cancellations. Registrant substitutions will be accepted until September 14, 2026. Requests may be sent to ht@eventswebpage.com. If paying by credit card, your statement will indicate Events Enterprises, Inc.

 

8. Is there a space for speakers to prepare?
Yes, a speaker ready room is available in Room 13, equipped with electricity, so presenters can prepare and review their presentations on a laptop before their session(s).

 

9. Is there a lactation lounge?
Yes, a lactation lounge is available in Room 12, equipped with a refrigerator, electricity, tables, and chairs.

 

10. Is there a quiet area at the conference?
Yes, a quiet area is available in Room 16 for attendees who need a calm space to decompress or step away from the conference floor.

 

11. Is child care available at the conference?
No, child care is not provided at the conference.

 

12. Will sessions be live streamed or recorded?

No, sessions are not live streamed or recorded.

 

13. Is there a Starbucks nearby?
Yes, a full-service Starbucks is located onsite at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, on the exterior backside of the facility at the corner of 14th Street and K Street. Hours are:
